Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers

Gasketed plate heat exchangers (PHE) combine excellent heat transfer with a compact size. The gaskets can be opened completely, which allows for cleaning and the replacement of plates, if necessary. Plates can be added to the exchanger later on to increase the exchanger’s capacity or alternatively, if flow conditions change or if pressure loss occurs.

A gasketed plate heat exchanger excels in processes which require rapid and precise start-up. Its small volume and efficient heat transfer facilitate automatic process control.

The Portuguese company Arsopi-Thermal manufactures plate heat exchangers in collaboration with the Japanese company HISAKA WORKS Ltd., and acts as HISAKA WORKS Ltd.’s European manufacturing unit. Arsopi-Thermal has been making gasketed plate heat exchangers since 1992.

In its manufacturing of plate heat exchangers, ARSOPI-THERMAL uses a press weighing more than 20,000 tonnes to press all of the plate sizes at once. The robotized manufacturing line guarantees uncompromised quality and a competitive price level.

The types and sizes of the plates are determined by the shape of the coupling and plate profile. The length of the plates is in direct proportion to the required capacity.
